Q1 saw both Alfa Romeo drivers fall short of the top 15. Logan Sargeant had a nasty crash early on into the session, bringing out the red flag and halting his qualifying early. Nico Hülkenberg was unable to place his Haas any higher than 18th and Lance Stroll had an underwhelming session, ending up in 17th. Q2 provided lots of excitement with many drivers just narrowly missing out on the top ten. Liam Lawson was unable to produce a consecutive Q3 appearance, only qualifying in 11th. Alex Albon split the two Alpine drivers, to qualify in 13th. Kevin Magnussen took up the rear of these session, claiming 15th position for the race tomorrow.
Like every race weekend, Q3 had fans on the edge of their seat. Red Bull showed their dominance at the circuit with Max Verstappen topping each session and claiming pole at the end. The McLaren boys put up a good fight to claim second and third position on the grid with Oscar Piastri just out performing his teammate. Charles Leclerc was only able to put his Ferrari in 4th with his teammate Carlos Sainz qualifying in 6th. Lewis Hamilton out qualified George Russell by coming in 7th and Fernando Alonso brought up the rear in 10th. Yuki Tsunoda, the home favorite qualifed in 9th, giving the fans something exciting to cheer for!
