Q1 saw both Alfa Romeo drivers fall short of the top 15. Liam Lawson, filling in for an injured Daniel Ricciardo at AlphaTauri, was only able to qualify 20th for his debut F1 race weekend. Q2 brought some surprises with Lewis Hamilton only managing to qualify 13th on the grid. Pierre Gasly and Lance Stroll narrowly missed Q3 and the Haas of Nico Hülkenberg wasn't able to transform his qualifying into a top ten appearance. Q3 brought lots of excitement to the track! Logan Sargeant made his very first top ten appearance, but unfortunately crashed early on in the session, bringing out the red flag. Both McLarens qualified well with Lando Norris on the front row and Oscar Piastri starting in 8th. Max Verstappen claimed a brilliant pole and the Williams of Alex Albon will be starting in fourth on the grid!
