Andretti unveils new Silverstone facility despite F1 rejection

Andretti Global has opened a UK facility in Silverstone Park despite Formula One rejecting their entry bid. The 48,000-square-foot building, soon expanding to 70,000 square feet, will handle manufacturing while the car building remains in Indiana. The site will collaborate with US headquarters, General Motors, and the Formula E facility in Banbury. Andretti remains committed to Formula One, as they plan to start with Renault power units and switch to Cadillac in 2028 if accepted. They also aim to establish junior programs, potentially relocate the Formula E team, and explore a sportscar program.

Team founder Ted Toleman passes away

Ted Toleman, founder and owner of the Toleman Formula 1 team, has died at the age of 86, as confirmed by his family. The Toleman F1 squad, renowned for launching Ayrton Senna's F1 career in 1984, operated from 1981 to 1985 before being acquired by Benetton and currently functions as the Alpine outfit.
