The Andretti Cadillac Formula 1 team is gearing up for a potential debut in 2025, with its first wind tunnel model unveiled. Despite awaiting final approval from the F1 organization, the team has been actively working at the Toyota wind tunnel in Cologne and expanding its design base in Silverstone. Technical director Nick Chester expressed confidence in the project's progress, emphasizing the flexibility of the entry date. The team is currently testing a 2024 model to enhance processes and collaboration among its diverse staff, with a potential switch to a 2026 entry date requiring adaptation to evolving F1 rules.

RB names new CTO and Racing Director in major restructure

Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team has announced crucial changes in its technical department, signing Tim Goss as Chief Technical Officer, Guillaume Cattelani as Deputy Technical Director, and Alan Permane as Racing Director. Goss, a former FIA Technical Director with 28 years at McLaren, joins in October. Cattelani brings over 15 years of F1 experience, and Permane, with 34 years in F1, starts immediately. These appointments aim to elevate the team's competitiveness and structure, according to Team Principal Laurent Mekies and CEO Peter Bayer.

Why is Ferrari silent on Sainz's future?

Carlos Sainz, a two-time Grand Prix winner in 2023, is not Ferrari's priority in contract negotiations despite his success. While teammate Charles Leclerc secured a long-term deal, Sainz's future remains uncertain. He desires a multi-year contract with Ferrari until 2027, but the team is reportedly offering only a one or two-year extension. Despite impressive performances, Ferrari leaves Sainz in a precarious position as the most-wanted unwanted driver on the grid.
