The Singapore Grand Prix is one of the most exciting races on the Formula 1 calendar. It was the first night race that F1 introduced and it continues to bring excitement and intensity to the sport. Gardens by the Bay is a beautiful nature park in the Central Region of Singapore. It is adjacent to the Marina Reservoir which makes it nice and easy for any racegoers to visit. The park has three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and lastly Bay Central Garden. Gardens by the Bay was initially planned as a way to transform Singapore in to a “Garden City” in hopes that it would raise the quality of life by enhancing the greenery. The Flower Dome, located in Bay South Garden, is the largest glass greenhouse in the world. Tickets to explore the Flower Dome & Supertree Observatory cost roughly S$30 (~$22).
Similar to being the first F1 night race, Singapore is also home to the very first Night Safari. It is a nocturnal experience in a park that features over 1,000 animals from roughly 120 different species. Enjoy the 40 minutes guided tram ride for the complete zoo experience. This unique adventure allows visitors to immerse themselves in the naturalistic night-time environments that these animals live in. An Adult ticket for the Night Safari costs about S$48 (~$36), but these prices can be subject to change based on promotions or family packages.
If you are looking for a 360° view of Singapore- even with a view of the Marina Bay Street Circuit- head over to the Skypark Observation Deck. Located 56 stories above ground level, this scenic view of Singapore’s gorgeous cityscape is a unique way to see the city from above. Located right in the Marina Bay Area, you will be able to see views of Gardens by the Bay, the Supertree Grove and many other iconic landmarks. To get to the top of Marina Bay Sands, an Adult ticket costs S$25 (~$19).
Supertree Grove is arguably one of the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore. Standing at 50m (164 ft) tall, these 18 Supertrees provide shade during the day and come to life in the evenings. Embedded with lights and music, these faux trees will put on a musical show at night for all visitors to admire. If you want a more immersive experiences, you can head up to the Observatory on the tallest Supertree to get a closer look. The best part about this attraction is that it is free admission. If you are looking to head to the Observatory, it will cost about S$30 (~$22).
Atlas bar is a must see venue to visit in Singapore. Located in Singapore’s Parkview Square, Atlas is a unique bar with a rich history. Inspired by the Art Deco skyscrapers in New York City, Atlas bar pays homage to the underground speakeasies of the 1920’s. The Singapore Changi Airport is renowned for its glorious greenery. If you’re flying into Singapore, take some time before making your way to the Marina Bay Street Circuit! In just one of the many attractions of the airport, the connector between Terminals 1, 2, and 3, houses The Rain Vortex. This is the worlds tallest indoor waterfall. Flowing 40m (131 ft) down to the basement, this stunning waterfall will have you in awe, but hopefully not late for your flight! In the evenings, the waterfall becomes a light and music show where travelers and tourists can marvel at the relaxing cascading water. There is no admission charge to see the Rain Vortex.
If you want to see more of the city from above, head over to the Singapore Cable Car and enjoy some breathtaking aerial views. There are two different cable lines that you can take. The Mount Faber Line connects you to Mount Faber, HarbourFront and Sentosa. The Sentosa Line connects you to Merlion, Imbiah Lookout and lastly Siloso Point. This is a great way to see the Marina Bay Street Circuit and explore Singapore. An Adult ticket costs roughly S$28 (~$20.70).
