FIA to clarify penalty rules

Alonso’s 100th podium was snatched only to be given back a couple of hours later due to a successful challenge by Aston Martin. Aston Martin submitted video evidence of 7 other such instances where no penalty was given serving a similar penalty, making it hard for the FIA to rebuke. There had been several discussions around this in the previous meetings but clarifications never entered the official regulations. FIA has said that a clarification will be issued before the Australian GP.

Despite Alonso’s best efforts, Perez’s Red Bull clearly comfortably outpaced him.

Horner says Perez’s concern over Max’s pace was normal

Christian Horner thinks it was normal for Perez to ask about what instructions were given to Max after he was asked to moderate his pace. "There's always going to be that when you're the lead car," Horner said. "You always want to know that the tail car has hit the target first. So that's entirely normal. I think for us as a team, we were concerned about if there was a reliability issue, how do we manage that?”
